Join us for a community cleanup event along Bellingham’s stunning downtown shoreline. We’re tackling one of the most toxic and persistent forms of litter: cigarette butts.

🔍 Why it matters:

• Cigarette filters are made of plastic and leach harmful chemicals.
• Each one can contaminate up to 1,000 liters of water.
• They’re the most littered item on Earth, with 1.2 million tons polluting our planet.
• On beaches, they make up 1 in every 5 items collected.

Let’s show what the Pacific Northwest is made of—compassion, action, and a whole lot of grit.
